Walking and Biking Trails

The Delaware River Trail is right outside our door and currently links us to Penn Treaty Park. Plans are to extend the Trail south to Penn’s Landing in the near future. Don’t have a bike? No problem. Bikes are available for rent from the Indego bike station just steps from our front gate.

Energy Conscious

Waterfront Square is rated among the most energy efficient high-rise buildings in Philadelphia. We have been Energy Star Certified for three of the last six years. This great accomplishment is due to our commitment to being efficient consumers of water, electric, and gas. Recent projects including the installation of LED bulbs, high efficiency boilers, and variable frequency pump drives are all part of our efforts to conserve valuable resources.

Green Roof

Waterfront Square was designed by Wallace Roberts & Todd, the architects responsible for the redevelopment of some of the world's most prominent waterfronts, such as the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Mission Bay in San Francisco & Battery Park City in New York. The design of the towers was centered on a landscaped park that is one of the largest green roofs in Philadelphia. Our green roof slows the overflow of heavy rain, which reduces pollution of waterways, serves as natural insulation, and provides walking and recreational space for our residents.
