Waterfront Square was designed by Wallace Roberts & Todd (WRT), an interdisciplinary firm of architects, landscape architects and planners who have worked together to redevelop some of the world's most prominent waterfonts, such as the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Mission Bay in San Francisco & Battery Park City in New York. Gil Rosenthal, FAIA, Principal at WRT and the lead designer for Waterfront Square, said the design of the towers is centered on a landscaped park that is the largest green roof in Philadelphia. "Maximizing sunlight in that park was as important as maximuzing views from each of the units; the towers step up counterclockwise from the Reef & outward towards the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, providing more light as the sun passes across the southern sky."
